Barbados is a small island located in the eastern Caribbean Sea. The island is prone to hurricanes and tropical storms. The hurricane season runs from June to November. The wet season is from May to October.
The average temperature is about 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius). The island experiences a fair amount of rainfall, averaging about 60 inches (1,500 millimeters) per year.
Barbados is a popular tourist destination. The island has a number of beaches, as well as a lively nightlife. The island is also home to a number of historical sites.
