Guinea-Bissau is a small West African country situated on the Atlantic Ocean coast. The country has a tropical climate with average temperatures ranging between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. The rainy season lasts from June to September and the harmattan, a dry and dusty wind, blows from November to March.

The best time to visit Guinea-Bissau is during the dry season from October to May. During this time, the weather is relatively cool and there is little rainfall. June to September is the rainy season and the country experiences high humidity and temperatures. Many roads become impassable during this time and accommodation options are limited.
