The rainy season lasts from June to September and the harmattan, a dry and dusty wind, blows from November to March.
The best time to visit Guinea-Bissau is during the dry season from October to May. During this time, the weather is relatively cool and there is little rainfall. June to September is the rainy season and the country experiences high humidity and temperatures. Many roads become impassable during this time and accommodation options are limited.
