Overview of Suriname Weather

The weather in Suriname is tropical, hot and humid all year round. The average temperature is 27 degrees Celsius (80.6 degrees Fahrenheit). The rainy season is from April to August. During this time, the country experiences heavy rains and thunderstorms. The dry season is from September to March.

The country experiences two different types of climate. The coastal area has a hot, humid climate with little variation throughout the year. The interior of the country has a more tropical climate with a wet season and a dry season.

Suriname is located on the northeastern coast of South America. It is bordered by Brazil to the south and east, Guyana to the west and French Guiana to the east. The country has a population of approximately 558,368 people.
